It is the honour of my life to represent you as the Member of Parliament for Wigan, and to serve in this new Labour government as Secretary of State for Culture, Media, and Sport.

The British people have voted for change, and for a government which serves communities like ours in Wigan.

There is a long road ahead as we turn the page from 14 years of Tory government, but I will always put our town first as we rebuild Britain.
